I just love my Angels!

I just love my Angels!

So, I woke up this morning and felt strongly nudged to pull an angel card from my ól faithful-Doreen Virtue Angel Therapy Oracle Cards-and I pulled “Workshops and Seminars.”

This is so funny!! As I was shuffling and focusing inward for the message of the day, asking the angels to impart their loving words of wisdom I began to drift. Well, are you thinking about broadening your horizons and want to meet like-minded people? Are you feeling trapped and need some clarity? Perhaps, it’s at your local metaphysical store or enrichment center. Maybe it’s in your therapist’s office with rose quartz and a soft candle burning for wonderful ambiance. I feel that now is the time to face fears and focus on COMMUNITY.

Likewise, inward community is with yourself. It’s having a special place within you; some call it an inner retreat or sanctuary, whatever the name it’s important to go there often. To share new ideas with your Higher Self. Meditate on the all intricacies of life. It’s your safe Haven!

Outward community is where you can meet and exchange resources and ideas. There is a wonderful place in Greensboro, NC where I host my classes and workshops called The Sitting Room and I gotta tell you I laughed out loud when I pulled this card, however glaringly obvious for me, it’s not just about me. It’s about you. The inner voice that keeps saying “more. I want more.”

I am preparing my curriculum for a workshop and program that will begin this April 2011 it is called-Embrace Holistic Wellness.

I know, how original-considering it’s the name for my website, but you know, it’s who I am. I am a therapist, mental health counselor. I am also an Intuitive. I am also a Light worker. I can’t have one without the other. They are all facets of who I am, thus, holistic wellness is the optimal goal in my life. I know so many of you believe the same. I’m getting really excited about sharing more about this workshop and other fun stuff that I do.

Back to the card-Doreen Virtue writes: “Attending and giving speeches is part of your spiritual path and purpose. Be open to teaching and learning.”

THIS MEANS YOU!

So, take out a coloring page and start scribbling. It frees up your creativity to write and create. Share with your community, I’m waiting….

Have you let your inner child out to play?

“Okay I believe you,” rings in my ears as a faint reggae tune from an eighties movie, I think Beetlejuice. Anyway, the playful tune is reminding me to play with my inner youngin’.

Have you heard of Imaginal Nurturing? Basically this concept is to parent or re-parent the inner child that resides within each of us. Now for many, this can be a difficult concept to grasp as we are quite frankly forced to resist the inner being. The one who wants to play with bubbles, or dare I say, color outside of the lines. Perhaps even play with chalk or clay. Without becoming too clinical, if an inner child is ignored anxiety, depression, dissociation, detachment, and a host of other unpleasant moods and conditions can befall you.

Yesterday, I woke up, from another dream, whew! So glad for my feet to hit the ground. I know I keep mentioning my dream, part in jest and part to illustrate my point, I was startled. You know, unsettled. This feeling is cue number one that something is a little “off.” It’s that feeling of restlessness, anxiety, ever so slight. So, I continue on through the day and I was given the glorious opportunity to play with a little girl. This little one was outside of my body and wanted to play make believe. Laughing and smiling, looking so free. Telling jokes and giving great big bear hugs. Now the best part was when we colored! I loved it. I used funky colors that “just don’t go together.” That’s what an old teacher of mine used to say. Humph! Well, before I knew it, her mommy said it was time to go. On the inside, I screamed “just one more minute.”

As I packed up my belongings and left, my little girl inside me said “see, all I wanted was a little time. Can we play?” I immediately felt calm and relieved. Then, it linked in my mind, body, and spirit.

Don’t go too long without playing…

~Until next time

Yesterday, someone told me “you’re going to have a good day.”

Yesterday, someone told me “you’re going to have a good day.” They were so authentic and loving. I thought, “Yeah, that’s right. I will have a great day!” And…so it is.

Why is it so much easier to believe someone else who seems so sure, so confident. Yes, I have my confident days and I feel pretty good upon awakening, after assuring myself that the dream I just had, was just that-(read previous blog, then, you will understand  but , I digress).

Anywho, it was like the angels were speaking through them, and a simple message literally, set my day up for nothing but sheer delight!! I could not have scripted a better day. Now, I know, I am queen of optimism, well, most days, but I tell you the truth. It was truly so spectacular. I felt good, motivated, inner and outer beauty, assured in my abilities, and gifts, and I was ready to share my true pleasure and passion of teaching amongst like-minded people.

Last evening I was teaching a workshop-Angel Academy- and in this class we were discussing manifesting with Archangels, and developing an Angel Committee- ( I know, how cute right?!) anyway, we were briefly talking about what we wanted and desired and one stated “ I just want World Peace.” I thought “whoa, I’m thinking about a trip back to Dominican Republic- you know, fun in the sunshine?" You know how people will tease or playfully mock beauty pageant contestants when they are asked,  “what change would you like to see in the world?”- in the best southern accent you can muster- “I just won’t wurld pease.”  Hey, before you get upset I am southern born and raised so no offense it was just funny to me and when I came out of my ADD moment-which happens rather often as you can read, shifting topics as quickly as you can place a period to the end of one of my run-on sentences-I digress again! Okay, so, this person was so genuine and authentic. The look in her eye deepened and sparkled, seriously. It made me think back to my morning of prophetic vision and I knew, the simpler, the more selfless, the more you receive, thus we are all blessed.

So, alas, the lesson for today is “Today will be a great day!” and by golly it will. Be grateful for every moment and kind word that’s sent your way. Realize that there are no coincidences and the angels and Spirit are working through everyday people like you and me so that we all can experience Heaven on Earth.

~Namaste
